My Story

Since I was a child I would bring home homeless or injured animals.  I brought home rabbits, birds, cats and dogs.  My mother was a huge cat lover and we both teamed up together to help heal these animals.  Sometimes we would have to bring them to the vet for extra help but in most cases it always turned out well.  Most times they became part of our family because we would get too attached to part with them.

My love for animals just continued to grow.  There was a short time where there was no pets in my home and it was a huge Void in my life.  Finally My husband and I adopted two dogs in 2000.  One was a Shepherd lab (3 months) named Gonzo and the other a Siberian Husky, Artic (7 weeks).  Gonzo is no longer with us since 2014.   Artic  passed away at 16 in May 20 2016.  He was my main influence for creating Arctic Therapy 4 Pets.

For the past 10 years As my two dogs developed health issues it influenced me to do more and more research in Alternative methods.  I learned much from viewing seminars on the topics that gave me alternative methods that I could apply to my dogs with great success.  It saved me from costly vet expenses.

Through the past 15 years I have rescued a number of dogs and successfully brought them back to health and a few were returned to their rightful owners.   I presently have a little dog rescued from abuse.  She’s been with us for 4 years and seems to be recovered and has normal behaviour. Two years ago I rescued a dog that even the vet thought had no chance of living very long and didn’t qualify for needed dental surgery.  A year later after nurturing the dog, his health was strong enough to qualify for surgery.

When I discovered how beneficial Laser and Massage therapy is, I decided to combine my love and knowledge into a compassionate service which is Arctic Therapy named after my 16 year old Artic.   It’s time to give back to the pets the love and comfort which they gave me and to teach others to do the same.
